Vacare is the name of a special settlement on the beautiful island of Gili Gede near the southwest coast of Lombok..
 

Gili Gede is an island free from traffic, accessible by a local fishing boat. An island with beautiful unspoilt nature, coconut palms, white sandy beaches where you can find astonishing shells, turquoise blue sea with a marvellous world underwater and a few traditional villages, where the local population makes its living with building boats and (pearl) fishing.

Vacare grants for a quiet and peaceful holiday, (mini)sabbatical, incentive, recovery and creation of a new focus in life.

ACCOMMODATION:

Vacare has four double bungalows with fan and beautiful sea sight, a lovely large porch to relax during day time and enjoy the star-spangled sky at night. There is a partly open air bathroom to shower amidst tropical plants and flowers.

Inside the bungalow you will find a cabinet, cupboard and of a course a comfortable bed. The bungalows are constructed in the traditional Lombok style, Sasak, but modern and comfortable, in a basic chique.

Furthermore there is a fifth one-storey residence with two bedrooms upstairs and a large veranda as well. Both rooms have toilet and shower. The ground floor has a large open living room with an cosy restaurant, a great place to enjoy company, meals and drinks. Here you will also find the library and a room for massage and special bath treatments.

On the beach a number of comfortable deck chairs are available for those who fully intend to enjoy sun, sea and sand.

Meditation and yoga may be practiced on the large beruga (open covered space on poles) at the near by hill.

Our unique backpacker accommodation, practically in the pure tropical open air with a fantastic view over the bay and her islands to the mount Agung on Bali.

There is also a wonderful Nature walk and special Pirates Treasure Chest Hot Tub, that are all part of the Spa facilities available now. The Sauna & Salt Water Pool are under development. Plus there are 4 special On top of the Reef Bungalows being build. All are planned to be ready in the later part of 2006.

The Snorkeling Kayaking and Night Fishing aboard the 6 meter winged Run About"Spie Bird" are excellent. , There is a new sailing speed Kayak, 4 double Kayaks and assorted snorkeling gear. Dive excursions are available from a near by Dive shop. Plus the Nature Walk, Shell beach combing, "Escapee Oyster" picking and Croquet game around the interior grounds of the Resort.

On top of the Hill with a fabulous three side ocean view and terrace over looking the snorkeling & oyster hideout west beach. Two double beds and fold out sofa – 5 person occupancy. With option of 3 additional fold out beds for minimal charge making this unit perfect for two families with four kids making it possible for 8 people in one Villa. Full Kitchen & Sound system and hot water bath tub.
